Forza Horizon 5 PlayStation: Speed Sprint Locations & Interactive Tracking Guide

Speed Sprints in Forza Horizon 5 are the 5 point-to-point on-track races in the Horizon Hot Wheels Park — the Sprint equivalent of the Speed Circuits, running from one end of a track section to another rather than returning to a starting gate.

All 5 stay entirely on the orange Hot Wheels track through Speed Boost pads, Air Tracks, and Giant's Canyon crossings. All 5 Speed Sprint locations are included on our FH5 Hot Wheels Park interactive map.

Unlock: Expert for S1, Elite for S2

Speed Sprints unlock through the Hot Wheels Academy rank system detailed in the Exhibition Events guide:

Expert Rank (S1 Class) — 2 Sprints

  • Nexus Speed Sprint [S1] — runs through the central Nexus track hub, the park's most connected track intersection
  • Canyon Loop Speed Sprint [S1] — routes through Giant's Canyon on the S1 loop section

Elite Rank (S2 Class) — 3 Sprints

  • Ram's Head Speed Sprint [S2] — named for the distinctive Ram's Head track feature in the Giant's Canyon biome
  • Canyon's Edge Speed Sprint [S2] — along the outer edge of Giant's Canyon at Elite speeds
  • Canyon Racer Speed Sprint [S2] — the longest of the canyon sprints, covering the full canyon section at S2 pace

The Altitude Quickness Name Appears Twice

  • "Altitude Quickness" (PS5 Trophy, Bronze) — win all Race Events in Hot Wheels Park. This requires winning all 5 Speed Sprints at any difficulty. The trophy fires once the final race event in the park is won.

  • "Altitude Quickness" (Hot Wheels Academy Major Mission) — win all Hot Wheels race events with Drivatar difficulty set to Highly Skilled or above. This is an Academy progression mission — entirely separate from the PS5 trophy — that rewards Hot Wheels Legend medals.

Both share the same name, which is a frequent source of confusion: the trophy has no difficulty requirement; the major mission does.

Five Veteran Minor Missions: 5 Medals Each

Every Speed Sprint has a corresponding Veteran minor mission requiring a win at Highly Skilled or above:

  • Twin Ram's Head — win Ram's Head Speed Sprint at Highly Skilled or above
  • Nexus Sprint Veteran — win Nexus Speed Sprint at Highly Skilled or above
  • Twin Canyon's Edge — win Canyon's Edge Speed Sprint at Highly Skilled or above
  • Canyon Racer Veteran — win Canyon Racer Speed Sprint at Highly Skilled or above
  • Canyon Loop Veteran — win Canyon Loop Speed Sprint at Highly Skilled or above

Each awards 5 Hot Wheels Medals toward the Academy progression chain — completing all five Veteran missions across the Speed Sprints contributes 25 medals toward the total needed to reach Elite and Legend Ranks.

Speed Boost Strategy: Same Principle as Speed Circuits

Speed Sprints share the Speed Boost mechanic with Speed Circuits — bright orange boost pads on the track surface provide a significant speed burst when hit precisely in the centre.

Missing a boost pad in a Speed Sprint is more consequential than in a circuit (where a second lap offers recovery) since there's no second chance on a point-to-point route. Memorise the boost positions during a first exploration run and commit to hitting every single pad on the competitive attempt.

The Hazard Sprints guide covers the off-track point-to-point counterparts for players working through both Sprint types simultaneously.
